I also trained with the Herald Daily Newspaper, honing my journalism skills as a student. That experience, coupled with co-founding Radio Fort Hare, solidified my passion for storytelling and communication.
After facing challenges in my home province, I ventured to Johannesburg to chase opportunities – and found a path in the private sector. With experience as Public Relations Manager, Marketing Manager, Regional Sales Manager, and Business Development Manager, I’ve worn many hats. I’ve also served in political offices as a Spokesperson and Communications Head, roles that opened my eyes to the realities of our time: we’ve transitioned from apartheid to a new form of oppression, one that affects the vulnerable and poor.
This realization led me to found South Africa for South Africans (SA4SA), where I serve as Founder and President. Through SA4SA and the Maduna Nkabinde Foundation, a non-profit I also founded, we’re empowering women, youth, and people with disabilities. During the pandemic, we innovated – running online classes for underprivileged schools in Gauteng, Gqeberha, and East London.
I’m an activist, mentor, and mother to many. I believe in standing up for the neglected and forgotten, and I’m committed to creating change in my community.
