Muhammad "MO" Khan

About Muhammad “MO” Khan

MO Khan didn’t come into politics through connections or privilege. He started in 2010 with the ANC Youth League in Pietermaritzburg and by 2011 was the youngest ANC candidate on the ballot. Those early years taught him how local politics really works — in branch meetings, taxi ranks, and school halls. With over 20 years in business, he understands budgets, deadlines, and what it takes to make something run. That mix of business and grassroots politics is what shapes his approach.

He’s stayed close to the ground. MO chairs the SGB at Deccan Road Primary School because he believes change starts with education. He’s a member of the Northern Suburb Taxi Association, so he hears what commuters and drivers deal with daily. He’s worked with plenty of NPOs across KZN and served as ActionSA’s Chairperson in uMgungundlovu before taking up his current role. He studied Information Systems at Varsity College, but most of his education came from years of organising and running things himself.

Since 2009, activism has been part of his life. Now, as National Chairperson of South Africa for South Africans, he’a focused on one thing; getting real power into the hands of ordinary poeple. No fancy speeches. No waiting for permission. He’s been in the ANC, he’s been in Action SA, and he’s seen where politics fail people. SA4SA is his answer to that – practical, accountable, and build feom bottom up.
